When can I start the sessions after my surgery?
Your surgeon defines the exact moment. In general, many professionals recommend it between the third and seventh post-operative day, but each case is individual. Before your first appointment at Serenity, we will ask you to confirm you have your treating doctor's clearance.
How many sessions do I need?
The plan includes 10 sessions, the standard number we work with following the most frequent recommendations from plastic surgeons in Colombia. The final amount is defined by your treating professional; if you require more, we can extend the plan.
Are the sessions painful?
Manual lymphatic drainage is a gentle pressure technique. Most people describe it as a sensation of relief, not pain. In the first sessions you may feel some normal discomfort from your recovery; our team adjusts pressure and duration based on your tolerance day by day.
How many days or sessions until I notice the difference?
Most of our patients notice a visible reduction in inflammation between sessions 4 and 6. The skin starts to feel less tight, the garment fits looser and the contour begins to define. The most marked difference is seen after completing the 10 sessions. Each body responds differently: it depends on your type of surgery, hydration, nutrition and rest.
Do you guarantee results? What if I don't see improvement?
Manual lymphatic drainage is a technique with decades of clinical backing and its effectiveness in supporting post-surgical recovery is documented. However, no ethical professional can "guarantee" a specific aesthetic result, because it also depends on variables outside the spa (your surgery, your body, your home care). What we do guarantee: serious protocol (certified Vodder technique), team with +15 years, coordination with your surgeon when requested, and open communication. If at any session you feel you're not progressing, we discuss it and adjust the plan.
Can I pay the plan in installments or finance it?
Yes. We accept installment payment with credit card (all networks) and financing with Sistecrédito up to 12 months. For immediate online payment you can use card, PSE, Nequi or Daviplata from our "Pay plan now" button in the pricing section. The complete 10-session plan can also be split into 2 payments: 50% at start and 50% at session 5.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Your compression garment, a small personal towel, comfortable change of clothes, water, and if possible a note or message from your surgeon with their specific instructions. We also send you a list via WhatsApp upon confirming your appointment.
Do you attend male patients?
Yes. The plan is open to anyone in post-surgical recovery. If you prefer, you can request an esthetician of the gender you feel most comfortable with when booking.
How long does each session last?
Each session lasts between 45 and 60 minutes. The first appointment may extend an additional 15 minutes for the free initial assessment.
How often should I attend?
3 sessions per week the first 2 weeks, then 2 sessions per week, and finally 1 per week. The 10 sessions are distributed over 4-6 weeks, adapted to your evolution and to your surgeon's instructions.
Do you attend surgeries other than liposculpture?
Yes. We accompany recovery from liposculpture, lipoabdominoplasty, abdominoplasty, breast augmentation, BBL, liposuction 360, mastopexy, gluteoplasty, brachioplasty and combined surgeries. Each case receives a specific protocol.
Do you work with referring surgeons?
Yes. We maintain direct communication with plastic surgeons in Bogotá when they request it. If your surgeon wants specific instructions, we can coordinate the protocol and send progress reports. We do not diagnose nor modify the medical instructions you received.
